We have a 20 year old standing seam roof. When we get wind from the north we hear a very loud rumble. From the outside you can even see the panels moving some. We have no attic vents we had wondered if that would help ? We had roofer check screws etc he said it looked ok. So loud it sounds like roof going to fly off. We are on hill and can get some good winds up here. Ideas?

Thanks for the note. I have several questions.
Has the situation worsened over time?
What is underneath the roof? Solid decking? Or can you see portions of the underside of the metal from the attic?
Tell me a bit about your attic ventilation -- both intake and exhaust.
Can you tell me how the lower ends of the standing seam panels are secured to the roof?
Is this truly a standing seam roof meaning no exposed screw heads can be seen from the outside?
If you wish, and I do think it would be helpful, send photos of the roof to me at [email protected]
Thank you.
