New metal roof leaking

Hello,
My husband and I just had our metal roof replaced due to hail damage. The prior roof was only a year old before being damaged. The roofing contractor used Petersen Edge-loc 1.0 and we requested a ridge vent just like we had on the roof they were replacing. When the roof was completed it did not pass inspection because the inspector noted that he could not see the ridge vent. A few days later the roofing crew showed up with off ridge vents and were preparing to install them but we realized that's what they were doing and stopped them, spoke to their supervisor and he ultimately said they would install the same ridge vent system that we had before. 3 weeks passed at the height of Florida summer heat and humidity and the increase in both was being felt inside our house so we called to see what was happening. I was told they were having trouble do to supply issues getting the materials but maybe they could manufacture something in their shop. I said that we just wanted whatever they did to be done right. Another 2 weeks and the crew showed up and installed the ridge vent. They apparently removed the existing ridge cap and put a foam barrier under then replaced the ridge cap and drilled holes in the sides down most of the ridge cap to allow for venting. The city inspector passed this but he never even got up on the roof. So it's been about 3 weeks and we are waiting for the contractor to replace a couple of the panels that they dented. We had a lot of rain and everything seemed fine but then Hurricane Ian came for a visit and although minor to what so many are dealing with we have 3 areas where there are water stains on the ceiling. Obviously it's leaking somewhere and two of these visible stains are where the ridge is and the other is at the bottom of the ridge line going down to the edge of our hipped roof. So finally my questions: Does this method meet industry standards? How hard will it be to figure out where the leaks are coming from and should we let them repair or should we have them replace the ridge vents with a product that is made for that and not something they made themselves?
