This is pretty complex, including a safety factor of two which is imposed on metal roofs under the building code. However, if a product has passed UL 90 testing, then it would be simulating the effects of winds in excess of 200 mph. However, keep in mind that, in an actual windstorm, proper installation of the roof is critical. Additionally, wind-blown debris and structural movement can impact roof performance.
