The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), welcomes Dustin Young as the director of business development for the construction program. Dustin is responsible for managing the optimization of the AISI construction programs by providing strategic leadership to direct multiple construction committees and implement program business plans. He succeeds Dan Snyder, who was recently promoted to AISI vice president, construction program. Before joining AISI, Dustin was the manager of technical and research activities for the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP).
“Dustin brings a strong background in strategic business planning and extensive experience in technical committee management and program implementation to our AISI construction team,” said Dan Snyder, vice president, construction program. “Over the course of his career, he has worked primarily in the bridge market, and will now be expanding his expertise to include building codes and standards and the renewable energy market. We look forward to his contributions to advancing the competitive use of American steel in traditional and growth markets.”
AISI serves as the voice of the American steel industry in the public policy arena and advances the case for steel in the marketplace as the preferred material of choice. AISI’s membership is comprised of integrated and electric arc furnace steelmakers, and associate members who are suppliers to or customers of the steel industry.
