I have a standing seam roof and had large ice slide off my roof this winter damaging my gutters, fascia, soffit and pulled my drip edge down with it along both of my eaves. I have a contractor now telling me I have to replace my entire roof because he is saying they can’t attach the drip edge to the sheathing properly without removing the metal panels. Is this correct? Is there another way to replace the drip edge without replacing my 5 year old roof?
