Just have a question and wanted to see if any one might be able to help, I have a existing 30x60 shop building which has been up for probably 30 years I am guessing, It has 6 of the Fiberglass panels on the steel roof to let light in so it isnt so dark inside, I got hail damage last year and they are leaking so asked a contractor to see about replacing the broken panels but he says there is nothing made he can find that matches, Does any one know of a way or place that might make the shape panel he is talking about. ? I don,t have a picture but could get one he said the panels measure 30 " across and everything now is 36 " but they are 30" wide centers are 10" the rib is 1 1/2 wide and about 1/2 inch tall , He said since he could get a match for the fiberglass panels the only option is to replace the roof with a new standard roof , I hat to replace the roof if the only thing thats bad is the fiberglass panels any ideas? Thanks

If you google translucent barn roof panels several manufacturers will pop up. I suggest contacting them with the details of what you need and surely one or more of them will be able to help.

I have the exact same problem. I'm looking for either metal OR fiberglass replacement panels. My existing panels are 36" wide with the ridge repeating every 10". The ridge itself is about 1½" high. I've found 4", 8", 9", and 12" ridges but no 10" . I believe my panels were made in Canada due to some of them still having a sticker with a red maple leaf, but no company name.
I've googled translucent barn roof panels and metal barn roof panels for both the US and Canada and have found nothing. Any ideas ?

Have you tried contacting any of the companies to see if perhaps you can find an old timer so to speak who knows that industry well and may have some helpful advice?

I am affiliated with the Poquoson, Virginia Museum. We are getting ready to move a building, circa 1880, that has metal"shingles". They are poor shape. Where can I find replacements to maintain the integrity of this old building?

Frank, if you can email me pictures and hopefully dimensions on the shingles you have, I will do my best to help you find a close match. [email protected]

mowrey1999, did you ever find someone with the roofing panels you need?
I myself am in search of similar panels. Need 30" wide. It has trapezoid sine wave pattern that is 3" on center and raised about 1/2". I only need one translucent panel, but might buy 8-10 to replace them all with a couple of extras for the future.
Been searching the Web and haven't been able to find any.

I think the panels described here are made by Fabral and is called PrimeRib. Still trying to find out more information and a dealer that carries Fabral.

I've done considerable research on the same translucent panel 30" wide w/ 10" ridge centers. Failing & leaking due to time and UV damage. Fabral does not make the replacement as I have spoken with factory tech support. There are manufacturers who will make the 30" wide translucent panel with 10"x3/4" ridges for you but minimum order is 300 pieces. I need less than 20. Looking at doing fiberglass repair since all the major manufacturer's I spoke with do not carry the correct profile. 10" ridge centers are no longer available. Let me know if anyone finds translucent panels with 10" x 3/4" ridge profile. I quit looking after 3 months and many phone calls.

I am looking for a match for a red steel roof constructed in 1985. 7 ribs @ 6" apart, with one "dimple" or "miniature ridge" halfway between each rib. The ribs are 1/2" or 7/16" tall. I can't find a match or a place to search by this configuration.

I had a tree fall through one of the garages I am in charge of maintaining. The metal roof panels are 24" wide with 6" ribs that are 1" high with a smaller rib halfway between each tall rip. Any help finding a match would be greatly appreciated. I can send pics if needed.

I need a new metal roof due to a hail storm. I know the hired roofer plans on utilizing a synthetic underlayment (Rhino Roofing Product U20). Should the asphalt paper, that seems to be in great shape, be removed prior to their new underlayment material? Will there be any chemical reactions due to the asphalt paper and the synthetic underlayment touching each other?

What kind of panel roof are you using? There are skylight from Velux that have moldable flashings to them.
