There is, as you know, a wide variety of metal roof systems. There are several intricacies to wind resistance which can include the profile of the panel and the thickness of the metal. However, other factors include proper installation, condition of the substrate beneath the roofing, roof geometry, etc. I would look for a product which has passed 90 psf uplift testing.
