I live in a 2-story townhome a mile from the beach in Ft Lauderdale, FL. The townhomes were built in 1999 under heavy Dade County codes and our roofer says we're rated for 120 MPH sustained winds.
I would like for our roofs to be able to sustain a Category 4 or 5 storm (135 - 160 MPH winds).
Is there a metal roof inspection company in my area that you would recommend who could come out and make recommendations for what we could add to the roof to sustain these high winds?
Thank you,
Lee Ann

Our members include experienced contractors who you can locate through the Find A Contractor section of this site. We do not have any engineers / consultants amongst our membership.
I would start by contacting one of our member contractors or even member manufacturers from your area and ask them who you might contact for this sort of evaluation.
You also should go back to the manufacturer of the roofing. They should have load tables available for your roofing panels.
