There are ways to safely walk any metal roof. So, the answer to your question is "yes".
You will need to talk to your installer and even the manufacturer perhaps to get details on how to walk the particular roof you choose, based upon your roof pitch, etc.
Some of the formed "shingle-style" roofs also have foam inserts available which can be installed in heavy traffic areas if desired.
