I am about to install my first roof (for a small porch). I have been doing s good bit of reading and it seems like if I had a hemming tool I could bend the ends of the panels (after some shearing) 180 degrees over the edge and have it lock over the edge piece. It looks like that is how they do it in many of the pro videos I have seen and this would make it virtually impossible for wind to lift the roof along the edges (advice from the gentleman at the metal shop).
Is there some substitute for a hemming tool that I could use to bend the edges of my roof? Any tips you have on this technique would be very much appreciated. I have included a photo of the deck to this point in case it is helpful.

Folding tools (often used in the hvac industry) can be used for this purpose.

They are less expensive than hemming tools, but work well, especially for small projects.
To get a really tight seam, you may need to tighten them up with a hand seamer.
