I was wondering if anybody knew of any kind of system that connects to standing seam roof to work off of for siding or detailed areas. We just did three 2 and 3 story houses that were not able to have machinery or lifts used (landscaping or terrain). We have been jacking off of walls or connecting to ribs. Was wondering if there were any specials jacks or scaffold. Andy, Empire Contractors

We use snap lock 16" wide panels. we make wooden ladders out of 2x2's or 2x4's with rungs about 18" apart that fit right between the seams. Then we clamp the edge of the ladder to a seam with visegrips. we put a small piece of wood on the other side of the seam to protect the seam. The ladders are 6-8' long and we can stage these to do siding after roof is installed. 2or 3 visegrips are used depending on the pitch of the roof.

standing seam. A 2x4 fit perfect into it. This was also on a 3 story 10/12 pitch. I was able to set enough jacks to put in a board then you can reah over and move across the roof latterally
