We have a house with an existing 1 1/2 inch standing rib roof. We have two existing skylights which were put in at the time of construction and we have no problems. We are remodeling one room and would like to add skylights to the existing roof. Our contractor (the same one who built the house) is worried about leaking. Can this be done?

My personal suggestion would be to not do it. Adding skylights to an existing roof of any type is tricky at best.
If you do proceed, though, I would suggest removing the roof panels and then re-installing them.
Consult the roofing manufacturer for their skylight installations instructions.
