Will a metal roof affect cell phone reception? I have marginal service here in the foothills. A metal roof will contact gutters via drip shields and the gutters are drained to the ground. Is there any data or lore about this sitation?

I live and work under residential-style metal roofs. I also use my cell phone in airports, shopping malls, office buildings, etc. with metal roofs all of the time. I have never encountered a problem with cell phone reception in these areas.
