Dear Experts, My one-story house needs to be reroofed. I am considering replacing the asphalt with a metal shingle roof. Although, I am sure every case will be different, typically what effects on radio and television reception should one expect a metal roof on a one-story home to have? What additional restraints does the metal roof place on external antenna placement? The only effect I have ever heard of is some negative effect if the antenna is located inside the attic. As far as external placement, by working with an experienced contractor and, as necessary, the manufacturer of the roofing, you should arrive at a suitable for plane for attachment to any area of the roof.
