I've come across the question of 'Am I putting a lid on my home with a metal roof?' Someone has asked me if putting a metal roof on their home will prohibit them from using their cell phone with normal results. I've explained that I haven't heard much in the way of complaints about this but they want a more spcific answer. They say that one of their neighbors has had poor cell-phone response when inside the home. Love to hear from you on this. Thanks
Steven

I am not a cell phone expert but I use my cell phone regularly without problems in metal roofed homes, and other buildings. I also use it in airplanes all the time. Those tend to have a fair amount of very thick metal wrapped around them.

I have just built a new home with a metal roof and outside my house i have full signal but inside not enough to talk. I am looking for a solution but have not yet. but I love my roof and if not talking on the phone is the added price, I will takke the roof.

Have you got a solution yet because we have no signal with the metal roof and T-Mobile states towers are close enough we should have good signal. Like you it is find outside.
