Hi, I am thinking about a metal roof on my log home. There is no attic or typical insulation between my indoor ceilings and the roof. Will there be any additional noise with a metal roof? Either from rain or the "popping" noise others talk about.

Without any insulation or attic space, yes, I have to say you might hear a little more rumble in hevay rains. It will not have a metallic pinging sound but it may be a little more rumbly.
Here's my bigger question for you though -- how are you handling ventilation and moisture control?
