Rebuilding from Cedar Fire
Thinking of new Metal roof.
Lots of sun (Ramona CA) Lots of birds
Concerned about corrosive effects of bird droppings on roof over the years (life of Roof)

This would really need to be addressed with individual manufacturers in regards to what sorts of coatings / finishes they use and what sort of warranty coverage / exclusions they may have.
Right off hand, I would say that your best best may be a metal roof with a Kynar / Hylar paint finish but, again, the details of this would have to be addressed on a product by product and manufacturer by manufacturer basis.
