We used a degreaser for cleaning of a building and noticed there was some algae on the metal roof so we wet down the roof, applied the cleaner and then rinsed. The next day the customer called complaining about how we discolored his roof in just some areas. It has turned some areas into what looks like black spots and resembles like it is wet, also, there is an area where rust is showing. Can discoloration happen that quickly from the cleaning or did we just clean of the grime and the discoloration was under there? And can rust happen over night?
