I have worked with metal roofing for 20+ years and I have never seen any evidence that it increases the risk of lightning strikes. Just the same, if desired, it can be grounded.
Lightning chooses the path of least resistance. While metal "conducts" electricity, it does not "attract" it. Lightning will strike high objects, regardless of what they are made of. These highest objects are typically trees, chimney, etc.
