It is the conclusion of the Metal Construction Association and other groups that metal roofing does not increase the risk of lightning strike. While metal conducts electricity, it does not "attract" lightning. However, if you wish to pursue lightning protection, I'd strongly suggest contacting a company that specializes in lightning protection.
