There unfortunately, at least to the best of my knowledge, has never been a study done into this subject. However, I have heard anecdotally of stories where metal roofing increased home value and also where it helped a home to sell faster. One big thing to keep in mind is that traditional roofing materials detract from a home's value as they age. Metal roofing, on the other hand, restores the value lost by an aged roof and then actually increases in value over time as it maintains its beauty and durability. The energy efficiency of metal roofing can also play a role in increasing a home's value.
