We have a 100-year-old foursquare home in need of a new roof. We'd like to use a metal roof, and we'd like to preserve the old yankee gutters. What is the best combination of roof materials and Yankee gutter materials for this purpose? We are very concerned about leaks in the future because we won't be able to get up to the third story to check the gutters on a regular bases.

I can't say that we have ever worked with them but they do appear as if they would require some special attention to make sure they do not leak.
I would get someone who works with them on a regular basis to make sure that you don't create problems down the road.
