My son put up a steel(metal) building and converting it to a house. It is 4/12 pitch, has 3 in reflective insulation with vinyl on roof over purlins, and 6 in with vinyl on exterior walls, dead air space then 3 in fiberglass batts in interior walls. Sheetrock over framed walls inside. It will be 2 bath home. It does not have ridge or soffit vents. What is the best way to vent the attic? Turbines? Gable vents ? Place where bought the building package told me about taking off sections of the ridge cap and putting three vents that they make every so many feet. Building is 50 ft long. I am so confused. Please help!!!

I would consider setting the attic up much like a greenhouse. Put a motorized damper at one gable and an exhaust fan with automatic louvers at the other gable. Tie them both to an inline thermostat. When the air in the attic gets to the temperature set on the thermostat, it will open the automatic damper and turn on the exhaust fan, pulling fresh air through the attic. All of this can be purchased at Graingers.

Thermostat/Humidistat combination will work as well.
The Temps might not be high enough in the winter months to trip the fans while you would still have enough humidity in the attic to create problems.
