I hope I can get some information on the comparative weight of standing seam metal roofing (26 guage) as compared to asphalt shingles...either per "square" or per square foot. Conributing factors such as underlayments isn't important at this point in my considerations. Info doesn't need to be precise, but should give me a general idea of comparative weight. Is this possible given some of the variables

Steel standing seam will weigh about 85 - 120 pounds per square. Aluminum standing seam, about 70. Asphalt shingles weigh from 275 - 425 pounds per square.
