We have a corrugated metal roof & I need info on installation of a double wall flue with rubber boot flashing, on a 4/12 pitch. I have a dektite boot but am considering a selkirk boot flashing kit. Question is, do I need the kit or just a boot?

Silicone rubber roof jacks have a temperature rating of 400 degrees. Attached is a picture of one installed on a metal roof. It is installed on a "pipe curb" because its diameter would have blocked the water flow down the panel. Notice the stainless steel band around the top to prevent water infiltration due to snow accumulation.

I have a metal roof that I am trying to install a 6 inch wood stove chimney through the pitch is 8/12. I have the flashing for it but, I am not sure how I should do it. Should it be put underneath the roof at the top and then screwed down with a silicone sealer? Or can I just set on top of the roof with sealer and screws? The picture you are showing goes under right?
Thanks in advance
Dave

As far as chimneys (type A) and gas flues (type B) go - MasterFlash flashings are rated for type B, but is it ok to use them with wood stove chimneys which are class A ?
