What is the effect of a fire in a house with a metal roof? How can the firemen be able to fight it from the roof since the roof will be hot and hard to cut in?

Because it does not start breaking down quickly in the event of a fire, metal actually provides a good and stable platform for firefighters. Cutting into the panels is also fairly easy and most firefighters have been trained how to vent roofs through a typical metal covering. While the thicknesses of metal used are plenty adequate for strength and durability, they are by no means what would be used on an armored vehicle. :-)
