We're considering metal panels on a cabin in the Olympic Penninsula. A current bid includes removal of composition roofing, install 30# felt underlayment and Champion SnapLoc 26 ga metal roofing system with ridge venting for bathroom.
Q - is felt OK? any problems?
Q - Is the finish on the above resistant to oxidizing?
- Any better product?

I really do not know what finish Champion uses. They are not a member of the MRA.
30-pound felt is a typical underlayment. In your area, you might get by without a slip sheet on top of it. Ask your contractor about that.
Also, you may, by code, need ice and watershield over the roof perimeter and up the valleys,
