I'm looking at installing PBR metal roofing. The existing pitch is 2/12. The longest span is approx. 14'. I currently have a tar and gravel roof. The maximum deflection at the middle of the span is 1/2". At what point will a deflection become noticeable and unsightly? Should there be any cause for concern with this existing deflection especially since there is not a live load applied? Or, is metal roofing still a viable option?
Thanks!
