I need to replace my roof, on my one story house . its about 1500 sq feet, with hip roof design,with a 6/12 pitch.Predenty rof isa shingle foof, i would like some esitmate
on shingles or how much more a meatl roof would cost.

Not sure I understand the question.
The majority of metal roofing sold in the USA is American Steel and American manufactured, but there are no specific federal guidelines requiring it.
One exception is when it is being used for government purposes in which case recent laws have required American steel to be used for recent stimulus projects.
