We are getting ready to install a 22gauge metal roof with a Kynar finish. Would you recommend using a high temp ice n water shield underneath or is standard ice n water okay. Please give reasoning why one way or another

High temp rated peel and stick membranes may be neccessary in hot climates, such as South Florida, and the desert Southwest. This is especially true if your metal roof is a dark color. Standard membranes have had issues with the asphaltic adhesive melting and dripping out in these conditions. I would ask the manufacturer of the product you plan to use for their recommendation.
