Can hail damage to a copper roof be repaired vs replacing the roof. Will the sun and heat in the summer help take out some of hte hail dings. What size hail would need to fail before it would damage a copper roof.

The questions you ask are all conditional on the profile of roof panel the copper is formed into, thickness oof the copper and substrate. Copper is generally softer than steel and will dent easier. Most use 16 oz cooper but there is 20 oz and higher thicknesses. I would try going to the copper institute to get any additional information.
