Deconstructing mechanical seamed metal roof.

Hello and thank you for any advice.

I run a unique company. Waste Less Works LLC is a Deconstruction and Salvage business. We have a new project that we are bidding on. The 60,000 sq ft roof we are to remove is a mechanically seamed commercial roof. The profile may be a Seam Loc 24 or similar. There is two styles of crimping or seaming. A 180 degree and I believe a 90 degree depending on which vintage addition of the building. The gauge may be 22 or 24.

The problem I have, is that as a salvage contractor, I would like to remove this in a manner that would make it available for reuse as a roof. It seems that opening the seam is possible but I have not found a effective way to do this. A can opener system may be an option but does not offer the highest and best use of the salvaged materials. Do you know of a machine that can open a seam like this? See Photo. Time is of the essence.

I have not come up with anything other than a can opener machine to cut off the seam. I feel like I may be a few years ahead of the curve and that the vision I have much be still crafted into reality. How hard could it be?
