Hi I am the manager of a Resort on Cape Cod that was previously a Howard Johnsons - we still have the original roof on one of the buildings and I am looking to see if anyone knows where I might find the metal shingles - I need to replace a couple and can't locate them on line - could someone point me in the right direction? Thank you

HoJos typically used a porcelainized steel shingle. The exact product they used was discontinued and the tooling disposed of perhaps 15 years ago. I had tracked down the founder's daughter and confirmed this at one time. I do not know of anyone making anything porcelainized at this point. My suggestion would be to connect with an old school sheet metal craftsman and see if they can reproduce it. Porcelainizing will be difficult as it requires a special kind of steel and most of the porcelainizing operations are offshore at this point. However, you might be able to then have the parts powder coated in a high gloss finish to match the existing. I am sorry -- wish I had better news.
