I live in Western Pennsylvania in a Split Level (see photo). I would like to have a metal roof install (Smart Rib Plus). You would think this would be an easy task but I am having a difficult time picking a color for the roof and would like to get some opinions on what color I should consider. I could leave the siding color as is (a light grey with maroon shutters and door) or I would certainly consider painting the siding another color. I have used the visualizer but find the colors on the computer screen just don't look right.

I think that a dark gray would look very nice. Many metal roofing manufacturers, plus this website, have tools for you to try out different roof colors. Personally, I would stay away from the reds as they can make homes look very dated in a few years and also may not appear to future buyers. As far as a different color scheme, you could certainly try some ivory and brown tones. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder though, as they say.

One of the colors on the Metal chart is called Berry and the coating is by Sherwin-Williams (WeatherXL). Does anybody have any comments on how this would look with the house siding which is light gray.
