I got a bid for a standing seam metal roof on my low slope(1:12) roof. The contractor wants to use rhino synthetic underlayment, but I noticed on the website the manufacturer specs don't recommend it for under 2:12.
Does it matter? What would you recommend.
I'm in a money pit situation on a house I need to sell and cannot have any more screw ups!

I would never use any product differently than its manufacturer recommendation. You could look for an ice and watershield underlayment approved for that pitch. Is this for the entire house? Is there any ventilation in the attic or roof assembly? What climate are you located in? I want to try to ensure that you are not creating a situation ripe for condensation.
