I have a porch that I need to raise the metal roof on (for more pitch) for drainage and tie it to a shingle roof, looking for suggestions on how and what flashing is best for the transition

You will probably need a custom made flashing supply day your metal roofing supplier, to go under the shingles and out on top of the metal. One critical aspect is to make sure that the flashing maintains positive slope and does not go "flat" on you or even run water backward on the roof. This will be difficult if your metal roof has much thickness to it. If there is a way to drop the point of connection to the fascia rather than have it tie into the shingle roof, frankly, things will be a lot easier.

the fascia is where the porch roof is now, my trouble is at the end of porch water not draining into gutters and coming back onto porch. that is why I thought of raising the pitch on the porch. any suggestions, already installed a drip edge?
