Just had a exposed fastener metal roof installed on my pole building.
The problem is contractor didn't install any under lament. Already paid the guy. He did a nice job. Just no underlayment.
I heat building in winter. It is insulated.

So, is the roof installed directly on top of plywood or OSB? Or is it over old shingles? Or is it on battens above plywood or OSB? I understand there is no underlayment but what is beneath the metal roof panels?

They stripped off old shingles. Metal is installed on battens above osb roof.
Not sure what to do. Thanks

According to the International Building Code, your roof should have underlayment.
