I am wonder what recommendations you would suggest for a synthetic underlayment. Area is southwest WA. State. In today's market cost is always a factor. So maybe a non big name product will do just as good a job as big name product.

Also, many metal roof manufacturers offer underlayment. Additionally, contractors often have a product they prefer and feel safest on. That said, synthetics seem to come in two general quality categories. One weighs about 3 pounds per 100 square feet and the other about 3.7. I recommend the heaver version for metal roofs.
