Is it necessary to install a double layer of underlayment on a roof deck (under battens) when installing metal roofing on a low slope roof? Or will a single layer work?

This would be in regards to minimum pitch, underlayment, and everything else. Generally, I'd not think you need a second layer but it depends on the exact circumstances and, again, I would refer back to local building code and product specifications.
