Last week we had a new EDCO SLATE SHINGLE roof installed. We love the look of the roof. But we are concerned about how the skylight was installed.
The flashing is on top of the shingles.
Please advise,

EDCO is a member of the MRA so I'd encourage you to contact them for specific details and recommendations. That said, what little I can see of the skylight flashing looks correct. The flashing should come out on top of the metal roof so that, if the flashing carries any water, we get that water back out on top of the shingles. Thanks for buying a metal roof!

I would still suggest you contact the great folks at EDCO but nothing here looks terribly out of the ordinary to me in regards to the skylight.

Brad Newell answered that it will not affect the warranty, but no answer to my question. I emailed him back, no response. The installer was trained and recommended by EDCO.
Should I worry that my roof may fail.

There of course may be problems that can't be seen in the photo but, again, based upon what I see and you have pointed out, it seems like a good approach and I have no concerns. Have you asked the installer to explain to you exactly where the water goes and how they are getting it back on top of the roofing? Perhaps that would help build your peace of mind.
