It is a good idea to put furring strips or some kind of underlayment that raises the roof sheets up off the sheathing to allow air and water to move under the roofing sheets? I plan to sheath our hybrid steel home with zip system water/air barrier sheathing.

Or copy this URL: https://www.metalroofing.com/spirit/comment/25784/find/On the cathedral area, a thermal break created by purlins or a layer of entangled mesh will help prevent the roofing decking temperature from dropping as low, which will reduce the possibility of condensation on the underside of the roof deck as warm moist air tries to drive out of the structure.
