What can be done to get top of deck foam insulation, in a UL Class A rated roof assembly? What sort of layers and edge details are used?
I'm having trouble getting really specific details.
Metal Sales lists the following:
TGFU.R9697 Roofing Systems
Class A: Deck: C-15/32 CDX or spaced sheathing
Incline: Unlimited
Impact: 4
Insulation: — Rmax "Ultramax" 1 in. min, mechanically fastened. Panels: — Steel roofing panel, mechanically fastened.
That's a nice start, but leaves out a number of things including a ply layer specification.
The cheapest job, long term, is the one done right the first time.
