We had a new standing seam metal roof installed August 2017 on our 1942 home (in Illinois). We're now noticing several spots it appears to be leaking. It appears the water is traveling down the walls to the basement and damaging the floor and and has made its way to the main support beam of the house causing wood to crack and shift and the floors to become unlevel and bouncy. We can see no actual drips but in the attic of the house and in the garage the wood appears and feels wet to touch.
The water damage is also evident (by sight and touch) when in the basement looking up at the floor boards , support beams etc and water spots on the interior wall (which directly lines up with a major wet spot under flooring viewed from basement). I hired a plumber to rule out and confirm that the water damage and wet wood was not caused by a leaky pipe.
We can see poor workmanship (some of which has backed up by other roofers we called) - including the vent ridge is higher than normal, they did not use butyl tape, the nails (when viewed from the attic) are not straight going into the wood (they are at various angles, and distances from each other). On the garage in particular you can see where the drip edge is not flush with the building anymore as it must have shifted. The end caps were left open and caulked (appears to be silicone) - and on every end cap there is mold growing on the caulking. There is an area on the exterior where you can tell water has been running down the siding. You can also tell where water is running in between the drip edge and gutter in multiple spots.
The roof is still under warranty with the contractor (for 1 year), and thus far it has been difficult to get him to come inspect the damages.
In several places, the nails are going through the trusses at an angle - causing them to split. Should the contractor have pre-drilled the OSB onto the hardwood planks to avoid this splitting? There are also areas where you can see they drilled into the trusses, the wood cracked and they removed the nail.
Does the contractors insurance number have to be on the contract for it to be valid? (I know that he is licensed and insured, the info i not on the contract though). I will attempt to add photos.

I have not. We're not actually aware of the manufacturer. Is there a way we can tell ourselves? At this point, the contractor has been less than helpful. We reached out to him to inform him of the issues May 14th and we've basically been given the run around since. I will go take a few pictures of the roof from outside and email them to you. Thank you!

The contractor was supposed to give us that but he did not. I will be sure to ask about it if he shows up this weekend (as planned), His truck broke down on his attempt to make it here last weekend and he hasn't set a specific day or time yet. Another question I forgot to ask up there - there is an area where he used 2 pieces of metal (not sure if he didnt have enough length to use one?) - but I was under the impression you're not supposed to do that with standing seam? Hopefully the pictures are okay. We don't really want to get up onto the roof given these issues so far we've only seen the upclose issues (mold in caulking, 2 pieces of metal where there should be 1 etc.) just from the top of the ladder.
