Is it possible to get 600mm-100mm insulation and felt put OVER a metal roof? Is it ok to do this!? Or should the metal be removed? What precautions should we take?
We have a 1960s property with 2 mono-pitched metal roofs. It is beginning to leak in places, and has very little insulation and is very noisy. There is no internal space for adequate insulation. Advice welcome!
Many thanks

What kind of metal?
Depending on the profile, it is doable.

I believe its aluminium.
Im concerned about it sweating and causing condensation between metal and the new insulation...

The contact between the insulation and the panel needs to be intimate and sealed with an air barrier. If you do that, you won't have any condensation issues whatsoever.
