We had metal roofing on our previous home and loved it. We are considering for our current home. We burn anthracite (hard, low sulfur/ash) coal for heating and want to know how this will affect a metal roof?

That said, it sounds like the type of coal you burn minimizes this risk. Have you seen any damage to finishes or metal around your current home?
