Major problems with screw down metal roof

Hi all,

We had metal roofing installed 10 years ago by a very inexperienced roofer. We had problems from day one, and 10 years passed, our problems seem to be increasing. We have leaks from multiple places, all because of the incorrectly installed screws (screws without rubber washers, screws going in with angle, and rubber washers eaten by extreme Texas heat). I called one roofer and he said he never works on screw down roofs since it is very difficult to fix and it will cause problems for the rest of my life (he said "pray for a major hail storm so my insurance would replace it). I called another roofer and hopefully he'll look at it next week.

Another issue I have is I have about 40 solar panels on top of the roof. So replacing the roof will cost an arm and leg for me (about 30 sq. of roof).

What do you recommend for this problem? Is there an innovative product that will fix screw-down metal roof for good? Any solution that will be in $1K-$2K range?

This issue is really slowly putting me into depression. I got metal roof to have solar panels (thinking that I won't need to replace the roof forever). Now I don't want to do any other work on the house because of this. I cannot even sell the house in this condition. Any help is extremely appreciated. I am in Austin, TX.
