Hi there! My mom has a metal roof and was affected by Hurricane Michael in Florida. She had water leak from the ceiling in several areas of her home. Her insurance is covering the damage inside the home but they have no interest in examining her metal roof and just decided it is fine. The adjuster did not go up on a ladder to even look at it. She is concerned that she could experience the leaks again.
Is this something she should fight with the insurance? Is this a common situation when it comes to metal roofs? I feel like if she had a shingle roof, they definitely would have gone up and accessed the damage and probably replaced the roof. I appreciate any feedback!!
