Measured once, cut once! Oops. Need to trim 2 inches off the bottom of recently installed metal siding on the gable end of my pole barn to match adjacent bottom trim on siding length. Hate to take all screw out after doing such a great job of matching the pitch angle. Use a cutoff saw or metal cutting blade on the skillsaw? Hard to use the pneumatic nippers when the panels are already up.

Sorry to hear about this. Anything that leaves a jagged edge will expose a great deal of the carbon steel and be very prone to rapid rust -- there simply will not be enough zinc in the steel's coating to provide cut edge protection rapidly enough.
