Hi,
We are looking for some advice on insulating an existing metal roof on an existing barn. We need advice on how to mitigate any condensation concerns, noise concerns and whether rigid board insulation or spray foam insulation is most appropriate.
Many thanks,
Arron

The most certain method will likely be closed cell foam sprayed to the bottom side. Assuming the roof is not on decking though, this will make eventual roof replacement more difficult.

I would suggest closed cell spray foam like Todd stated. Also, condensation is not a fun problem to have and also not a cheap problem to remedy. If you are going to be converting this into a home I would talk with a professional HVAC contractor and talk about a system to control the humidity in the structure as well.
