I have a new Galvalume roof on a barn and there is a cupola that needs roofing as well. The cupola roof is flared at the bottom, making it difficult to use the Galvalume, and my contractor suggests using copper. My concern is that over the years copper particles washing down off the cupola could cause corrosion of the Galvalume below it. Is there really as issue with this type of situation?

If it is bare galvalume, yes, this could happen. If it is painted galvalume, as long as the paint is there, it should provide protection. However, the copper will leave streaks on the galvalume that may be unsightly over time.

curving a glavalume coated standing seam roof panel is not a big deal. there should be a sheet metal shop in your area that has experience doing this.
